Holiday Reminders

  • Lock your vehicles and remove valuables from your car.

  • Prevent package theft by retrieving packages from your doorstep promptly. If you will be away for an extended period, ask a neighbor to collect your deliveries for you.

  • Keep in mind the city ordinance for on-street parking. The regulations are:

    • No vehicle may be parked on the front lawn of any residence or apartment within the parish

    • No vehicle may be parked on the front lawn or side yard on any corner lot within the parish.

    • A vehicle may be parked on a residential street for a period which does not exceed 9 continuous hours within a 24 hour period.

    • No vehicle with 2 or more rear axles are permitted to park within a residential neighborhood.

    • No vehicle may be parked on the street facing oncoming traffic.

  • No parking on the Tara Blvd median.

  • Exterior holiday lights should be taken down within 30 days of the holiday.

New Year’s Eve Reminder

Although fireworks are NOT allowed anywhere in the East Baton Rouge parish, there will be permitted displays of fireworks downtown and around the area, so pet owners remember to keep pets indoors and secure.
