About the event
UPDATE: Tara side streets will be closed for Halloween 6-9pm!
Following recent feedback from our community survey, Tara Civic has acquired a permit to close side streets to car traffic, except for Thurman, Whitehall and Tara Blvd. We’re excited to share that well over 400 resident signatures have been gathered in support of this initiative.
Tara has become a popular destination for Halloween, which has brought an increase in car traffic to our neighborhood. While we warmly welcome trick-or-treaters from both near and far, our goal is to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Visitors: Please plan to park in the lots designated on the map and walk into our neighborhood to trick-or-treat. Help us show thanks to these businesses and churches that offered their parking lots by keeping them clean and free of candy wrappers.
Residents: If possible, please aim to return home before 6 p.m. If you need to enter through the side street barricades after this time, kindly show an ID or a piece of mail with your name and Tara address to the barricade officer. For those arriving later, please drive carefully, head straight home, and park in your driveway. Rest assured, emergency vehicular access will be maintained throughout the evening.
